Put the focus on your hamstrings, leg, abdominal, buttock and hip muscles with the Flow Fitness Pro RB5i Recumbent Bike. This recumbent bike works efficiently, is very sturdy and is suitable for both home and gym use.
The design
Comfortable
Partly due to the soft seat and backrest, a workout on the RB5i Recumbent Bike is very comfortable. By sitting with your back against the backrest, you automatically assume a correct posture. You soon notice that this position is less stressful for your back and joints.
User-friendly
Also in terms of user-friendliness the design is well thought out. The recumbent has two water bottle holders on either side of the seat and you can easily place your tablet or smartphone in the holder on the display. The heart rate sensors are located in the handles next to the seat, so you can always measure your heart rate without sitting down. And not unimportant: the low entry, which ensures that the recumbent is accessible to everyone.
Solid and stable
Striking features of the RB5i are the wide platforms at the front and rear of the recumbent. These platforms guarantee high stability, no matter how hard you train.
Customized training
A workout on the RB5i Recumbent Bike puts the focus on your hamstrings, leg, buttock, abdominal, and hip muscles. How intensively you train these muscles is of course up to you. The RB5i offers you a choice of no less than 24 programs, including 4 user programs. Heart rate-controlled and wattage programs are also available. You measure your heart rate via the contact sensors in the handles next to the seat. Want an even more accurate measurement? Then choose a bluetooth chest strap, which you simply connect to the fitness device.
The manual program allows you to choose the resistance yourself. This is adjustable in increments of 5 watts, with a minimum resistance of 10 watts and a maximum resistance of 350 watts.
Even more possibilities with apps
A big advantage of the RB5i is that it has Bluetooth. You not only connect your chest strap to it, but also your tablet or smartphone. Use popular training apps such as Kinomap, Zwift and iConsole and make your workouts even more fun than they already were.
The Kinomap app
Gives you a highly realistic live experience of existing and self-selected routes. The resistance is automatically increased when you go uphill and decreased when you go downhill. There are training videos with different levels of difficulty. Try to keep up with the video's target speed or use the multiplayer mode to have races with your friends. On your screen you can see how far you are in your video and what distance you still have to cover. Kinomap also easily links you to your favorite training apps, such as Strava and Runkeeper. This way you record all your workouts in one overview.
Use of Kinomap requires at least version 5.0 for Android devices. For iOS, at least version 9.0 is required.
Note: Kinomap is free to use for the first 7 days, after that you can purchase a paid subscription.
User-friendly console
This recumbent bike from Flow Fitness has a very user-friendly console. Here you can see the progress of your training in the form of a graph. Also the following data are kept: time, speed, RPM, distance, Watts, calories and heart rate. Operation works using the advanced smart wheel. In addition, it is possible to use the quick keys in the handles next to you."
